Terms and Conditions

Using this site means accepting these terms. The short version: the specifications here are informational starting points produced by arithmetic from figures you supply. They are not a professional fitting, and buying a club is your decision.

What this site provides

SpecMyBag provides free, informational tools that calculate golf club specifications from measurements you enter, together with written explanations of how those specifications are derived. It does not sell clubs, does not hold stock, does not carry out fittings and does not take bookings.

Accuracy, and its limits

Considerable care goes into the figures here, and corrections are genuinely welcome — the specification database is the only asset this site has. Even so, three limits apply and you should read them before relying on anything:

  1. Output quality depends on input quality. A swing speed guessed from memory produces a guessed specification. The tools tell you when a figure is an estimate rather than a measurement.
  2. Manufacturer specifications change. Lofts, lie angles and lengths are revised between production runs and between regional models, sometimes without a new model name. Each set in the database carries a status showing whether its figures have been re-confirmed against the manufacturer's own published table, and that status is shown to you. Always confirm against the manufacturer or the club itself before you buy.
  3. A static fit is not a dynamic fit. These calculations use measurements taken standing still. How you actually deliver the club changes the answer, particularly for lie angle. Impact tape and a lie board settle what a tape measure cannot.

This is not professional advice

Nothing here is a professional club fitting, coaching instruction, or medical or physiotherapeutic advice. If you have a physical condition affected by club weight, length or swing mechanics, speak to a qualified professional rather than to a web page.

Purchases through retailer links

Retailer links are affiliate links, disclosed above the links themselves and explained on the affiliate disclosure page. Any purchase you make is a contract between you and that retailer. SpecMyBag is not a party to it and has no control over pricing, stock, condition grading, shipping, returns or warranty. Questions about an order go to the retailer.

Because links search for a specification rather than pointing at one listing, what a retailer shows you will change over time and may include clubs that do not match the specification exactly. Check the actual specification of any club before buying — particularly with used clubs, which may have been bent, shortened, re-shafted or re-gripped by a previous owner.

Liability

This site is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpecMyBag is not liable for any loss arising from the use of this site or from equipment bought after using it, including money spent on clubs that turn out not to suit you.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

Intellectual property and trademarks

The text, tools and compiled database on this site belong to SpecMyBag. You are welcome to use the tools for your own purposes, quote from the articles with attribution and a link, and screenshot your own results. Bulk copying or re-publication of the specification database is not permitted.

Manufacturer and model names — Titleist, Callaway, TaylorMade, Ping, Mizuno and every other brand named here — are the trademarks of their respective owners. They are used only to identify equipment specifications. No affiliation with or endorsement by any manufacturer is claimed or implied.

Acceptable use

Do not attempt to scrape the specification database in bulk, disrupt the site, or misrepresent its output as a professional fitting certificate.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The date at the top of the page shows when they last were. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
